It's not just about bikes and running, you know. I've also done boxing, trapeze, and heaps of other sports.

At around 1700, sub-tropical Brisbane was turned into a Winter Wonderland, when a hail storm shocked the unsuspecting, unwarned locals. Much damage was done to property, and cars on Coronation Drive were blocked in by the hail drifts. As I drove to uni the next day, these hail drifts were still lining the streets, slowly melting. I got these pictures from my friend Kati, who got them from her friend Val.

Our coach, Todd, dragged the team up to the Glasshouse Mountains for a 7-hour training session on the hottest, most humid day of the summer. We ran up and down Ngungun, rode to Beerwah, went up and down Beerwah, rode to Tibrogargan, went up and down Tibrogargan, ran to the tower, and then rode to Woodford. And it wasn't until that last bike ride that it finally rained. Todd took these photos as evidence. He also gave us beer and bakery treats at completion!

The Brisbane Lard-Arse Return-to-Training (BLART) Rides began a long, long time ago, when a thread began on aus.bicycle about how the bunch rides are too fast. Next thing, we had a small group doing social rides, with a southside start point!

Matt and I rode up to Mooloolaba to watch the triathlon. We started around 4am. Once up there, we met up with his wife, Tam and my mate, Hamish.
